DHN Laser Projector The Introduction of 3D Projection Technology

3D projection technology relies on 3D technique, the following passage is the
principle of 3D technique, let's look at how do 3D projectors work.

Barrier 3D technique is also called parallax barrier or parallax barrier
technology, its working principle is similar to polarimetric 3D's, it is
researched for decades by engineers of Xiapu European laboratory. Barrier 3D
technique is compatible with LCD technology, so it has advantages on
productivity and cost, however, its image resolution and lightness will be
reduced. The implement method of barrier 3D technique is using a switching LCD,
polarization film and polymer liquid crystal layer to produce a series of
vertical stripes with 90°. These stripes are dozens of micron, vertical
stripes are formed through their light, it is called parallax barrier. This
technology is using the parallax barrier that is put on the back light unit and
LCD panel, in stereoscopic mode, an image that should be seen by the left eye
appears on the LCD screen, with opaque stripes blocking the right eye, in a
similar way, when the image that should be seen by the right eye is displayed
on the LCD screen, the opaque stripes will block the left eye. By separating
the visual images of the left eye and the right eye, the viewer can see the 3D
image, which is full of dreams.

Advantages: It has advantages on productivity and cost, which is suitable for
civilian consumption.

Disadvantages: At low brightness, the resolution decreases inversely with the
increase of the image broadcast at the same time.

Lenticular lens technology is also called biconvex lens or microcylindrical
lens 3D technology. Its biggest advantage is its lightness won't be influenced.
The principle of lenticular lens technology: the image plane of the LCD screen
is located on the focal plane of the lens. In this way, the pixels of the image
below each column lens are divided into several sub-pixels, so that the lens
can project each sub-pixel in different directions. Therefore, eyes can see
different sub-pixel from different angles.However, the gap between pixels will
also be magnified, you can't simply superimpose sub-pixels so that the column
lens is not parallel to the pixel column, but at a certain angle so that each
set of sub-pixels can project the viewport repeatedly, instead of just
projecting a set of parallax images.

The reason why its brightness will not be affected is that the columnar lens
will not block the backlight, so the picture brightness can be well
guaranteed,However, the basic principle of 3D display is similar to parallax
barrier technology, so the resolution is still a difficult problem.

Advantages: its lightness won't be influenced with better effects of display.

Disadvantages: related manufacturing is not compatible with existing LCD
processes and requires investment in new equipment and production lines.
