41/2” LTC Coupling Oil Casing
Oil casing is primarily used for drilling oil and gas wells and the
transportation of oil and gas. It includes oil drill pipes, oil casings, and
sucker rods.

Introduction to Oil Casing Coupling Types:
1. LTC (Long Thread Connector): Long round coupling. The long thread connection
LTC has the same thread shape as STC and can be connected; however, such
connections are generally not permitted because they can withstand different
torque values.

2. STC (Stub (Short) Thread Connector): Short round coupling. Both STC and LTC
threads belong to the API standard threads. The only difference is the length
of the threads; LTC is longer, while STC is shorter. For a 41/2” outer
diameter pipe, if the actual measured thread length exceeds 3 inches, it is
generally considered LTC; if it is less than 3 inches, it is considered STC.

3. BTC (Buttress Thread Coupling): Buttress thread coupling.
