Properties:
Kinetin is a kind of endogenous cytokinin, which is one of the five major plant
hormones. It’s chemical name is 6-Furfurylaminopurine (or N6-Furylmethyladenine).
It is a natural plant endogenous hormone of purines, and it is also the first
discovered by humans, which can be synthesized artificially already. It is hardly
soluble in water, ethanol, ether and acetone and soluble in dilute acid or alkali
and glacial acetic acid.
Usage:
It is a cytokinin plant growth regulator. Used in agriculture, fruit trees,
vegetables and tissue culture to promote cell division, differentiation, and
growth; induce callus long buds, relieve apical dominance; break lateral bud
dormancy, promote seed germination; delay aging, preserve freshness; regulate
nutrient transport Promote solidity and so on.
