AAK Hydraulic Cartridge Flow Control Valve with Cylindricity of 0.003mm

Edgar is from a hydraulic company in Britain and has been engaged in
procurement for 2 years. Recently, the supervisor asked him to purchase a
hydraulic cartridge flow control valve with a rated pressure of 15~20MPa, a fit
clearance of 0.012~0.015mm and a cylindricity of 0.003mm. The supervisor
specially emphasized that this was the project the boss was looking at. Edgar
saw the parameters of this hydraulic cartridge flow control valve and was a bit
stunned. It was difficult for his current hydraulic cartridge flow control
valve manufacturers to reach the standard. Although one of the manufacturers
promised to be 90% sure, the cylindricity accuracy could not be approved,
because the processing of the blind hole of the hydraulic cartridge flow

after 3 adjustments. More than a month has passed, and no progress has been

of 0.003mm? Because the parameters are not the only factor, we cannot simply
answer yes or no. I can only tell him that the problem of the original
hydraulic cartridge flow control valve manufacturer lies in the tool, and most
hydraulic valve manufacturers still use traditional diamond reamers. This
technology is not only highly demanding for technicians, but the tool is also
easy to wear. In diamond reamer cutting, the force is mainly concentrated on
the tool head, and the head wears quickly. This makes the hole bottom size
smaller and affects the cylindricity of the valve hole. Edgar should have felt
that AAK pointed to the point, so he sent us the complete drawing of the
hydraulic cartridge flow control valve, informing us of the above procurement
difficulties, hoping that AAK could help him with solution.

According to Edgar's drawings, I told him that AAK should make samples
directly. If it is not successful, the development cost will be returned. After
30 days, 6 hydraulic cartridge flow control valve samples were sent out. 3
weeks later, Edgar sent a PO for hydraulic cartridge flow control valve worth
20,000 US dollars. At the same time, he advised that their engineers were very
satisfied with AAK samples and required that the manufacturing quality of mass
production must be the same as the samples. I told him that the shipment will
be the same as the samples, it was more difficult for the workshop to do a
little worse than to do a little better. Edgar was curious about what
technology AAK used to solve the cylindricity problem of the hydraulic
cartridge flow control valve.

3 years ago, AAK realized that the cylindricity of the valve hole would have
hidden problem due to the traditional diamond reamer processing technology, so
we replaced it with new honing machine, and the the diamond reamer was replaced
by diamond oilstone, which is installed on the special honing rod. The oilstone
can expand and shrink radially, gradually cut off the allowance of the valve
hole, and is equipped with an automatic measuring system. After rough honing,
the diameter of the valve hole can be measured 360 degrees. If the size is
abnormal, the oilstone will correct it. In this way, the cylindricity of the
machined valve hole can reach 0.0025~0.003mm, moreover, the surface roughness
is Ra0.2.

Last week, Edgar told me privately that his boss paid more and more attention
to him after the smooth delivery of this hydraulic cartridge flow control
valve.
