Aluminum dross ball mill and screening machine

The ball mill serves as the primary grinding equipment in aluminum dross recycling
systems.
It crushes and grinds cooled or processed aluminum dross (a byproduct of aluminum
smelting containing valuable metal particles mixed with oxides and impurities) into
smaller, uniform particles.
This increases the surface area of the dross, liberating trapped aluminum for
easier separation and recovery in subsequent steps like sieving or remelting.
The screening machine (often a vibrating or rotary sieving drum) follows the ball
mill to classify the ground dross into different particle size fractions.
It separates coarse aluminum-rich particles (for remelting), medium-sized dross
(for further cooling/processing), and fine powder (for bagging, sale, or non-
metallic reuse), enabling targeted recovery and utilization of each grade.
In aluminum dross processing lines, the ball mill and screening machine often work
in tandem (e.g., in all-in-one systems), cooling and grinding hot dross first, then
sieving for secondary recovery. This combination can increase total aluminum
recovery by 5-10% compared to traditional natural cooling methods, making it
essential for secondary aluminum producers.
