Tubing Couplings and Coupling Material Eccentric Wear
I. Tubing Couplings

Quality Assurance: 1. Coupling Material Certification: Provide a quality statement for coupling blanks in accordance with API Spec 5CT (9th Edition) requirements, along with relevant documentation to ensure that the coupling blanks are produced in compliance with API standards. 2. Thread Inspection: For casing couplings, the 11th Edition couplings with BT threads are available as standard stock. Thread processing parameters such as close tolerance, tooth height, pitch, and taper are inspected in accordance with API Spec 5CT (9th Edition) and API Spec 5B (15th Edition). All dimensional and thread parameter inspections should be well documented. The thread surface should be smooth and free from obvious tearing, tool marks, grinding marks, shoulders, or any other defects that disrupt the continuity of the thread. The internal and external chamfers and starting threads should be free from burrs and sharp edges. 3. Critical Thickness of Couplings: The critical thickness of the couplings should be specified. 4. Chamfered Casing Couplings: The 11th Edition couplings with BT threads are available as standard stock. Conversion couplings and thread change couplings for N80/L80 tubing couplings with 2-7/8" EUE are also available. 5. Chamfered Edges: The internal and external chamfered edges of the coupling should have a radius of ≥0.5 mm. Chamfering should be applied to the inner and outer edges of the coupling's load-bearing surface. 6. Thread Inspection: Ultrasonic testing of threads is conducted to ensure quality.
