Cooling tower spraying pump

In industrial circulating water systems and cooling towers, the spraying pump is a
critical component ensuring stable equipment operation. Its primary function is to
continuously deliver liquid, maintaining system temperature balance and preventing
equipment damage from localized overheating. These pumps typically need to meet
requirements such as corrosion resistance, stable flow rate, and moderate energy
efficiency to accommodate long-term continuous operation demands.

Cooling tower spraying pumps are mostly designed as centrifugal pumps, which
operate on the principle of driving the impeller at high speed via an electric
motor. This generates centrifugal force, flinging the liquid from the impeller
center to the periphery and creating a pressure differential for transportation.
The pump features a single-stage enclosed impeller structure with only one impeller
and a single-sided suction method, effectively reducing liquid backflow and
enhancing transportation efficiency. The pump shaft adopts a side-mounted layout,
resulting in a more compact pump body structure, making it suitable for
installation in space-constrained scenarios.

Closed cooling towers typically use vertical or horizontal centrifugal pumps for
the spraying system, with materials such as cast iron, bronze, or stainless steel
to accommodate the water quality and corrosiveness of the spraying water

Before installation, check the pump body for sealing integrity to prevent leakage
during operation. In the initial running phase, monitor the motor temperature and
vibration to ensure no abnormal noise. After prolonged use, regularly clean
impurities from the impeller and pump chamber to avoid blockages affecting
performance. If the transported medium contains particles, it is recommended to
install a filter at the pump inlet to extend the equipment's lifespan.
Additionally, voltage fluctuations should be controlled within ±10% to prevent
motor overload damage.
