Corrosion Resistant Self Priming Pump Requires Bottom Valve Or Not

Generally speaking, it is not necessary to install a bottom valve because
corrosion-resistant pumps usually have their own check valves at the inlet.

After the corrosion-resistant self-priming pump is shut down, the liquid in the
pump chamber cannot flow back to the original pool and is stored in the pump
chamber.

Therefore, there is no need to add liquid during the second use.

However, it does not mean that the corrosion-resistant self-priming pump cannot be
equipped with a bottom valve.

Installing a bottom valve will improve the effect, because if the one-way valve is
sometimes damaged, the bottom valve will serve as a guarantee and will not idle
after installation.

If a bottom valve is installed, the effect will be better, because if the one-way
valve is sometimes damaged, the bottom valve serves as a guarantee and will not
idle.

After installing the bottom valve, it will also effectively ensure the effective
suction range of the pump.

Another special case, but if the difference in suction height is too large, or the
diameter of the suction pipe is too large, and the volume exceeds the storage
capacity of the corrosion-resistant self-priming pump chamber, it cannot work
normally.

At this point, a bottom valve must be installed to ensure safe and fast self-
priming.

Therefore, the self-priming pump does not require the installation of a bottom
valve, but it does not mean that the bottom valve cannot be installed.

After the installation of the bottom valve, the suction range of the pump will be
more guaranteed, especially for some small corrosion-resistant self-priming pumps.

Due to the fact that small corrosion-resistant self-priming pumps generally do not
have one-way valves and achieve self-priming effect through the vacuum generated by
the instantaneous pump body, the suction effect of the pump will be better after
the bottom valve is installed.
