Custom Wholesale Ceremonial Merchant Navy Chief Officer Epaulette
A Merchant Navy Chief Officer epaulette is a shoulder insignia worn on the uniform to denote the rank of Chief Officer (also called First Mate), who is second-in-command after the Captain (Master).
Key Features:
Stripes/Bars:
Typically three gold stripes (braids) on a black background.
Sometimes a diamond or loop (curl) is added above the stripes, depending on the shipping line or country.
Background:
Usually navy blue or black cloth for formal uniforms.
White cloth versions are often used for tropical or summer uniforms.
Placement:
Worn on the shoulder straps (epaulettes) of the jacket, shirt, or sweater.
Symbolism:
The three stripes represent the Chief Officer’s seniority, just below the Captain (who has four stripes).
Variations:
Some merchant fleets add an emblem (such as an anchor or company logo) above the stripes.
Epaulettes can be slip-on slides (for shirts) or sewn/attached boards (for jackets).
Minimum Order: 100 pieces
