Tubular steel fencing is generally made of either aluminium, stainless steel,
wrought iron or galvanised steel. Each of these materials has unique
characteristics that make them suitable for different applications. Aluminium
is lightweight, durable, and corrosion resistant but relatively expensive
compared to other materials. Stainless steel is strong and highly resistant to
corrosion but also relatively costly. Wrought iron is strong, durable and
aesthetically pleasing but requires some maintenance due to its susceptibility
to rust. Galvanised steel offers good value for money as it is both durable and
cost-effective. It should be noted that galvanised steel is not as attractive
as the other materials, but can be painted if desired.
