GLPOLY Thermally Conductive Adhesive Alternative To Lord TC2202

GLPOLY thermally conductive epoxy adhesive XK-D12 has a bonding strength of 13MPa and thermal conductivity of 1.2W/mK, comparable with TC2002, ranking the forefront of industry.

Most of competitive products in the market are defective, some products provided satisfied thermal conductivity and bonding strength, but hardness failed to meet requirements; or thermal conductivity and hardness were escellent but bonding strength failed. But these never happened to GLPOLY, GLPOLY thermally conductive adhesive XK-D12 provided high performance, ultra strong bonding strength and proper hardness to fit mainstream design of battery cell bond.

GLPOLY had the ceramic filler modified to improve thermal performance of thermally conductive adhesive, decreasing partilce size to enhance filling ratio and improve contact between particles. GLPOLY imported automated production lines, monitoring entire processes for decreasing artificial error and keeping consistency of product.

Earlier this year, a new energy electric vehicle manufacturer contacted me and inquired about thermal interface material for battery pack. He had a tough thermal management problem suspended due to previous samples’ failure to meet requirements. I sent him the specification of thermally conductive epoxy adhesive XK-D12H for evaluation. Two days later, he called me that his team had assessed the data sheet and found specification satisfied, so he wanted to apply for samples for testing at their facility. I said all samples were charged, but the cost could be shared in bulk production in the future. Customer accepted and bought five samples in 400ml cartridge each. Customer told me samples would be verified for six months for high temperature aging test and high and low temperature thermal shock, it really was unexpected because most the customers would verified samples for two months. Though we would spend more time, I appreciated customer’s rigorous and serious attitude. Then customer seemed to disappear in the next six months.

I almost forgot this project. One day, I received a call from this customer, he said XK-D12H performed excellent no matter thermal performance, bonding strength or hardness, comparable with TC2202. In this case, customer decided to purchase XK-D12H instead of TC2202 due to lower cost and 7-day lead time. Now trial production was in progress and a bulk production schedule was proceeded.
GLPOLY thermall conductive adhesive XK-D12H helps enhance volume availability by 15-20% and decrease numbers of components by40%, resulting in improving productivity by 50%, lowing down cost of battery pack. Also, this material verified by impact test that no burning took place when falling down at a height of 12m and an angle of 45 degrees.

GLPOLY thermally conductive adhesive XK-D12H has the following advantages:
