Butterfly Control Valve
Butterfly control valve is referred to as butterfly valve, butterfly valve,
also known as flap valve, is a control valve with a simple structure,
consisting of a circular body and a circular plate shaped interceptor that
supports the rotating action with a rotating shaft. Butterfly valve is
different from the ball valve, the valve flap is always present in the fluid,
so regardless of the valve position, the fluid will always produce a pressure
drop.

What is butterfly valve used for?
The butterfly control valve is mainly suitable for large diameter, large flow,
thick slurry and suspended particles of fluid flow regulation. The drive form
has manual, worm gear drive, electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic
linkage and other ways. With simple structure, small volume, light weight,
material consumption, small installation size, rapid switching, 90 °

What is the difference between check valve and butterfly valve?
Butterfly valve is a manual valve, which only does the switching
function. Check valve is an automatic valve, which is to prevent the backflow

The driving mode of the lug type butterfly valve can be manual, worm gear,
pneumatic, electric, the connection mode can be flange, butt clamp, the
structure can be single eccentric, center line, double eccentric, triple
eccentric,and the sealing structure can be soft seal or hard. Sealed, the
pressure range is PN0.1-10Mpa, the nominal diameter is DN40～2000mm, and the
material can be cast steel or stainless steel. Due to the wide range of use of
valves, the same valve has different collocations in different occasions and
working conditions.

Advantage
The wafer butterfly valve is connected between two pipe flanges with stud
bolts. Its structure is simple, small in size and light in weight, and it
consists of only a few parts. Moreover, it can be opened and closed quickly by
rotating 90°, and the operation is simple. At the same time, the valve has
good fluid control characteristics. 
When the butterfly valve is in the fully open position, the thickness of the
butterfly plate is the only resistance when the medium flows through the valve
body, so the pressure drop generated by the valve is small, so it has better
flow control characteristics. The butterfly valve has two sealing types:
elastic seal and metal seal. Elastic sealing valve, the sealing ring can be
inlaid on the valve body or attached to the periphery of the butterfly plate.
