Hexagonal Wire Mesh

Hexagonal wire mesh, also known as chicken wire or gabion box, is a versatile
type of wire mesh characterized by its hexagonal pattern. It is typically made
from low-carbon steel wire, galvanized steel wire, or stainless steel wire, and
sometimes PVC-coated for additional corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal.
The mesh size is typically ranges from 1/2 inch to 4 inches, with wire
diameter that ranges from 0.5 mm to 2 mm, depending on the application
requirements. The weaving type of it is divided to Normal twist and Reverse
twist.
Properties
The hexagonal pattern is flexible, making it easy to bend, cut, and shape to
fit various applications. Compared to other types of wire mesh, hexagonal mesh
is relatively lightweight, which facilitates easy handling and
installation. In addition, depending on the material and coating, it offers
good durability and resistance to weathering, especially when galvanized or
PVC-coated. Generally cost-effective, especially when made from galvanized
steel, making it an economical choice for large-scale fencing and enclosure
projects.
