Usage:Analytical reagent, used for testing zinc, iodine, and arsenic. It is
used as an oxidizing agent in volumetric analysis. Redox titrant. Reference
reagent.Used as an analytical reagent (as an oxidizing agent in analytical
chemistry), a drug, a feed additive. The so-called iodized table salt that we
often consume is iodized potassium chloride or potassium iodate (in a ratio of
one part per 20,000) added to ordinary table salt (pure sodium chloride).
