Light Steel Keel

A Light Steel Keel is a cold-formed metal framing component made from high-
strength, continuous hot-dip galvanized steel strip. It is precision-rolled
into standardized profiles such as C-channels (main runners), U-channels
(tracks), and furring channels, which are used to construct the structural
skeleton for:
Interior partition walls
Suspended ceiling systems
Shaft wall assemblies
Fire-rated barriers
Acoustic wall and ceiling constructions
Unlike traditional wood framing, light steel keels are non-combustible,
termite-proof, moisture-resistant, and dimensionally stable, eliminating issues
like warping, shrinking, or rotting over time.
