Appearance: White or colorless needle-like or oblique columnar crystals
Solubility: Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and glycerol
Applications:
Food: Used as a food fortifier
Industry: Used in tanning, explosives, papermaking, ceramics, fertilizers, and as
an oral laxative in medicine, as well as a mineral water additive.
Agriculture: Magnesium sulfate is used as a fertilizer in agriculture because
magnesium is one of the main components of chlorophyll. It is usually used for
potted plants or crops lacking magnesium.
