Magnetic drive industrial pump

magnetic drive pump is an industrial pump that utilizes magnetic coupling to
transmit power and achieve fully sealed, leak-free transportation, making it
particularly suitable for handling toxic, flammable, or highly corrosive liquids.
It operates by driving the impeller rotation through the magnetic interaction
between internal and external magnetic rotors, completely eliminating the physical
shaft seal of traditional pumps and fundamentally eliminating the risk of medium
leakage
The core of the magnetic drive pump lies in the "magnetic coupler," which transmits
the rotational power of the motor to the pump shaft without contact. The specific
structure includes the following key components:
Magnetic Coupling System: Consists of an outer magnetic rotor (connected to the
motor) and an inner magnetic rotor (connected to the impeller), completely
separated by an isolation sleeve in the middle.
Isolation Sleeve: This is the key component for achieving zero leakage, typically
made of stainless steel, titanium alloy, or high-performance plastic, ensuring the
medium is sealed within the pump chamber.
Magnetic steel material: High-performance magnetic pumps often use neodymium iron
boron or samarium cobalt permanent magnet materials. Samarium cobalt magnetic steel
has better temperature resistance and is suitable for high-temperature working
conditions.
Cooling and Lubrication: During pump operation, 2%-3% of the conveyed medium's flow
rate must be utilized to cool the bearing and magnetic rotor areas, hence no idling
is permitted.
Structural Forms: Common configurations include horizontal, vertical, and high-
temperature resistant types. Some high-temperature models are equipped with water
cooling devices or double-layer insulation structures to prevent heat conduction to
the motor and avoid demagnetization.
Performance range
Normal temperature pump is used for fluids with temperature from -30 ℃ to 120 ℃.
High temperature pump is up to 350 ℃ or even 400 ℃
Pressure and flow rate: The design pressure is usually 1.6-6.4MPa, and the flow
rate range can be from 2m ³/h to 1400m ³/h
Viscosity of fluids: The viscosity of the conveying medium is generally not greater
than 30 × 10 ⁻⁶ m ²/s, and it must not contain ferromagnetic impurities or hard
particles
