Microcrystalline wax is a crucial functional additive in shoe polish
manufacturing, primarily used to enhance the polish’s gloss, paste
stability, and film durability.
Forms a high-gloss protective film: Microcrystalline wax has a dense
structure and excellent luster; when rubbed, it produces a glossy finish and
forms a thin, hard protective film on the surface of leather shoes, providing
long-lasting shine.
Enhancing water and stain resistance: Microcrystalline wax possesses
excellent hydrophobic properties. When combined with other waxes and oil-
based ingredients, it effectively fills the gaps between leather fibers,
preventing the penetration of moisture and stains.
