Micronized PP wax for powder coating

Polypropylene wax (PP wax) is widely used in powder coatings to enhance
surface properties, processing flowability, and mechanical performance.
1. Key Functions
Lubricant & Leveling Agent:
Reduces melt viscosity, improves flow during curing, and minimizes defects
(e.g., orange peel, craters) for a smoother surface.
Lowers friction between screws and materials during extrusion, boosting
production efficiency.
Anti-Scratch & Abrasion Resistance:
Migrates to the coating surface, forming a protective layer to enhance
scratch resistance—ideal for demanding applications (e.g., automotive parts,
furniture).
Anti-Blocking Agent:
Prevents coating layers from sticking during stacking or transport,
especially in high-temperature environments (e.g., tropical climates, dense
packaging).
Matting Effect (synergistic with matting agents):
Adjusts surface light reflection via microcrystalline structures to achieve
semi-gloss or matte finishes (e.g., matte powder coatings).
Dispersant & Hydrophobic Agent:
Promotes uniform dispersion of pigments/fillers, reducing agglomeration.
Hydrophobicity improves water resistance and anti-stain properties.
