Micronized wax is primarily used to enhance coatings' scratch resistance,
abrasion resistance, smooth hand feel, and anti-blocking properties, finding
extensive application in solvent-based coatings, oil-based paints, and
similar fields. ‌

Micronized wax reduces friction through its spherical particle structure,
strengthening the coating surface's resistance to abrasion; its uniform
particle size distribution enables effective dispersion within coating
systems, improving the physical properties of the paint film. ‌
Application Characteristics
‌Scratch Resistance & Wear Resistance‌: Polyethylene Micronized wax exhibits
moderate hardness and a smooth surface, lowering the coefficient of friction
to minimise scratch formation. ‌
‌Anti-Caking & Smoothness‌: Micro-wax forms a lubricating layer within
coatings, preventing caking while enhancing tactile properties (e.g., smooth
or matte finishes). ‌
‌Matting Effect‌: Certain formulations are suitable for thin-film coatings,
simultaneously providing matting functionality.
