Micronized wax for PVC pipe
The application of micro-powder wax in PVC pipes primarily serves to enhance
surface gloss, improve wear resistance, and reduce adhesion. Common types
include oxidised polyethylene wax and Fischer-Tropsch wax.
Principal Functions
Enhanced Appearance: Adding micro-powder wax improves the smoothness and
lustre of PVC pipe surfaces while minimising surface imperfections.
Performance Enhancement: By reducing the coefficient of friction, it improves
the anti-adhesion and wear resistance of the product, extending its service
life.
Processing Aid: Certain micro-waxes possess release properties, facilitating
mould ejection and reducing the rate of defective products.
