Micronized wax is a polymer additive widely used in coatings, inks, and other
fields. It enhances the mechanical strength, tactile feel, and stain resistance
of product surfaces. Its main advantages are reflected in the following
aspects:
Improved Surface Mechanical Properties
Micronized wax imparts excellent abrasion resistance and scratch resistance to
coatings. It reduces the surface coefficient of friction and forms a protective
layer, making the coating “smoother” rather than “more vulnerable” when
subjected to scratches—a critical property in wood finishes, industrial
coatings, and printing inks.
