MOISTURE-RESISTANCE MDF


Moisture Resistant MDF (HMR MDF) by MinChan is specially engineered for use in
areas exposed to high humidity. Built on advanced fiberboard technology, our
HMR panels combine the processing ease of traditional MDF with significantly
enhanced moisture resistance, making them ideal for wet environments like
kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms.
 
What is Moisture Resistant MDF?
Moisture Resistant MDF is an upgraded version of traditional Medium Density
Fiberboard, infused with waterproof resin adhesives and moisture-repellent
additives. Through high-temperature and high-pressure bonding, it achieves:

Water absorption expansion rate ≤ 8%

Excellent structural integrity even after 24-hour water immersion

Reduced risk of swelling, delamination, and mold

It complies with stringent international standards like EN312-P5, and retains
excellent machinability—easy to cut, mill, and coat.

Moisture-resistant Medium Density Fiberboard (HMR MDF) represents an upgraded
version of conventional MDF, processed through specialized techniques. Its
defining characteristic lies in its superior moisture resistance, enabling it
to maintain structural stability over extended periods in high-humidity
environments, thereby effectively preventing issues such as expansion,
deformation, or mold growth.

1. Excellent moisture resistance performance
Using moisture-proof resin adhesive and waterproof additives, a dense moisture-
proof layer is formed through high-temperature and high-pressure processes,
with a water absorption expansion rate of ≤ 8% (national standard ≤ 12%), far
exceeding ordinary MDF.
Through 24-hour boiling water immersion test, the delamination and expansion
rate of the board meet international moisture-proof standards (such as EN312-P5
grade).
