Monobenzone

Monobenzone is a topical depigmentation agent used to treat hyperpigmentation,
such as various stains, age spots, melanoma, etc., with obvious effects. It can
decompose the melanin in the skin, prevent the production of melanin in the skin,
and restore the healthy color of the skin without destroying the melanocytes. It
is very toxic. It is usually made into an ointment or liniment and has been
included in the United States Pharmacopoeia.
