Refined Soybean Oil

Soybean oil is an edible vegetable oil extracted from soybeans by heat treating cracked beans with different solvents. The crude oil is blended and refined to make it edible.


Soybean oil, as the other direct product of soybean processing, is also extremely important, especially in food.


Chemicals from soybean oil, called plant sterols, are used for high cholesterol. Soybean oil is also used as a mosquito repellant and as a nutritional supplement in intravenous feedings.
