Optical Glass Domes

Optical laborers select high-quality optical glasses, including N-BK7, Fused Silica and sapphire. Bi-Convex Lenses

Plano-Convex Lenses, Plano Convex Lenses

Plano-convex lenses are positive focal length elements with one spherical surface and one flat surface. These lenses are designed for infinite conjugate (parallel light) use or simple imaging in non-critical applications. These optics are ideal for general purpose focusing elements. Plano-Concave Lenses have edges that are thicker than the center and flat on one side. Plano-concave lenses are used to expand a light beam or increase the focal length in an optical system. They are commonly used for beam expansion of high peak power pulsed lasers. The beam incident on the concave surface will be focused to a point outside the instrument.
