They are similar to a drop wire clamp. This mechanical device is a single-tension
piece of hardware used to fasten overhead transmission and distribution wires and
cables to a pole, building, etc.

Steel Cable Clamps will compress those wires and cables to become horizontally
straight. Or at least straight enough that the wire won’t stoop too low.

Cable Tension Clamps are also used to support the cable’s weight, keeping
tension on the line while relieving stress on the attachment points.
