Aerospace components thermal vacuum system
Vacuum environment simulation In the thermal vacuum test, the first step is to simulate the vacuum environment of space. When spacecraft operate in space, there is almost no air around them, meaning they are in a high vacuum state. To simulate this environment on the ground, a vacuum system is used, including vacuum pumps, gas condensers, and pressure sensors, etc. The gas inside the test chamber is evacuated to make the internal pressure approach the vacuum state. Usually, the vacuum requirement of the thermal vacuum test is better than 6.5x10^-3 Pa to ensure that the simulated vacuum environment is close enough to the real space environment. If you need more models about our test equipment, please reference our : https://www.chamber-testing.com/ Temperature cycling simulation In space, spacecraft undergo significant temperature changes because they are exposed to solar radiation and cosmic darkness. The thermal vacuum test simulates these temperature cycles through heating systems and cooling systems. The heating system can use resistance wires, radiation heaters, or high-frequency heaters, etc., by controlling the current and voltage of the heating elements to regulate the temperature. The cooling system may use low-temperature media such as liquid ammonia. During the test, the spacecraft is heated to a high temperature (for example, +65°C) and cooled to a low temperature (for example, -35°C), and cycles between these extreme temperatures to test its performance under temperature changes.
