temperature ratings known as “Classes.” The rating directly corresponds to
the wall thickness of the connected piping schedule.

Pressure Classes:
Threaded fittings are designated as Class 2000, 3000, and 6000. Socket-weld
fittings are designated as Class 3000, 6000, and 9000.
Pipe Schedule Matching:

Class 3000: Typically used with Schedule 80 / Extra Strong (XS) pipes.
Class 6000: Used in heavier, high-pressure Schedule 160 pipes.
Class 9000: Reserved for extremely thick Double Extra Strong (XXS) pipe walls.
