Lead rubber bearing

Lead Rubber Bearings (LRB) are advanced seismic isolation devices engineered to
protect bridges, buildings, and other critical structures from earthquake
damage by minimizing vibrations and dissipating seismic energy. These bearings
are made of alternating layers of natural or neoprene rubber and reinforced
steel plates, with a lead core securely embedded in the center. The rubber
layers provide flexibility and allow controlled horizontal movement, while the
steel plates ensure high vertical load-bearing capacity. During seismic events,
the lead core undergoes plastic deformation, absorbing and converting seismic
energy into heat, which reduces structural acceleration and lengthens the
vibration period. Widely applied in highway bridges, railway systems, high-rise
buildings, and essential infrastructure, lead rubber bearings offer superior
