Thickness Tester

Application

FTT-01 Thickness Tester employs mechanical scanning method to measure the
thickness of plastic films, sheets, board, fabrics, textile, membranes, paper,
foil, wafers and other materials.

A specimen is placed on the base and a weighted presser foot lowered. The
displacement between the base and the presser foot is measured as the thickness
of the specimen.

The FTT-01 Thickness Tester utilizes a mechanical scanning technique to measure
the thickness of various materials, including plastic films, sheets, fabrics,
textiles, membranes, paper, foil, wafers, and more. In this process, a sample
is positioned on the instrument's base, and a weighted presser foot is gently
lowered onto it. The instrument then measures the displacement or the gap
between the base and the presser foot, providing an accurate measurement of the
specimen's thickness. This method is valuable for quality control and
assessment of materials in industries where precise thickness measurements are
essential.

The FTT-01 Thickness Tester is an industrially stable unit controlled by a
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and operated through an easy-to-use Human-
Machine Interface (HMI) touch screen. It features automatic presser foot
lifting, real-time display of maximum, minimum, average, and standard deviation
measurements, as well as the capability to store test results and perform micro
printing. Optional features include an RS232 port with software compatibility
and the choice between manual sample feeding or automatic feeding.
