trifluoroacetyl group (—CF₃CO) into other molecules, and is a common
acylation reagent.
2. Pharmaceutical industry: Used for synthesizing fluorinated drugs.
Especially in the synthesis processes of anti-cancer drugs, antiviral
drugs, and other special therapeutic drugs, trifluoroacetic anhydride can
serve as an important intermediate. It can increase the stability and
biological activity of the molecules in the body, and is therefore widely
used in the research and development of new drugs.
