Unconfined Compression Testing

The Unconfined Compression Testing Machine is a specialized device used to
determine theunconfined compressive strength of cohesive soils, particularly
saturated clays. lt applies anaxial load to a cylindrical soil specimen without
any lateral confinement, simulating a zero-confining-pressure condition. This
