Wrapped V Belt/Classical V Belt/Common V Belt
Structure Cover fabric layer: Usually made of cotton canvas or synthetic fiber fabric, it wraps around the outside of the V-belt and plays a protective role, preventing the belt body from being worn and corroded by the outside world. At the same time, it can also enhance the overall strength of the V-belt. Elongation layer: Generally composed of rubber and fiber materials, it is located on the inside of the cover fabric layer. When the V-belt is working, it can withstand tensile stress and keep the V-belt in good elasticity and shape during the transmission process. Strength layer: It is the core bearing part of the V-belt. It is usually made of multiple layers of high-strength polyester cords or glass fiber cords. These cords can withstand greater tension and provide strong transmission power for the V-belt to ensure that it will not break easily during the transmission process. Compression layer: Composed of rubber material, it is at the bottom of the V- belt. During the transmission process, it bears compressive stress and can effectively transfer power to the pulley. At the same time, it can also play a role in buffering and damping. Wrapped V Belt Characteristics: • Good abrasion resistance • With little generation of powder • Providing clean power transmission Applications: Primarily used as replacement on industrial drives. The classical V belts are recommended in special applications such as V-flat drives. In the same manner these belts are advantages where reverse idlers have to be used, because of smaller heights.
