1. Product Introduction
SHH STEEL supplies ASTM A514 Grade Q / A514 Gr.Q 100 ksi QT
structural plate worldwide, 690 MPa yield to 65 mm. EN 10204 3.1/3.2
mill-direct supply. Applications: Crane and boom, Mining and
earthmoving, Trailers and chassis. ASTM A514 Grade Q, also searched
as A514 Gr.Q, A514GRQ, A514-Q, A514Q, T-1 Grade Q and 100 ksi QT
plate, is the thick-plate grade in ASTM A514/A514M. That book covers
quenched-and-tempered alloy structural plates intended primarily for
welded bridges and other structures. Maximum thickness for Grade Q is
6 in / 150 mm. General requirements follow ASTM A6 / ASME SA-6, not
A20 / SA-20. There is no ASME SA-514 / SA-514M book in current
Section II, Part A. Inquiries that write SA514 Gr.Q are still buying
ASTM A514 Grade Q. Code quenched-and-tempered vessel plate is ASTM
A517 Grade Q, not A514. This page is not A572 Gr.50. A572 is Nb-V
HSLA in the as-rolled or normalized condition. This page is not EN
10025-6 S690QL. S690QL is a European QT comparison, not an automatic
swap. Tensile and yield change with thickness. To 2½ in / 65 mm,
yield is 100 ksi / 690 MPa min and tensile is 110–130 ksi /
760–895 MPa.
