I received a lot of consultation about Bergquist Hi-Flow 300P from thermal management engineers, “Can you offer it or the alternatives”. The end products will be sold in US, there is strict regulations there about electronic products, test must be rigorous too. Testing lasted for six months and test results satisfied customer’s requirement. Both GLPOLY XK-C16 PCM and Bergquist Hi-Flow 300P has a thermal conductivity of 1.6W/mK, but XK-C16 provided a much lower thermal impedance of 0.23℃in2/W, it was two thirds of that of Bergquist Hi-Flow 300P, more important is XK-C16 phase change material offered excellent electrical properties for a withstand voltage of 3.5kV. Why can GLPOLY stand out from competition and be applied to military equipments. We are not boasting and flaut ourself, actually we had received certificate of merit from department concerned. The market is deluged with thermal gap pads, common customers can not distinguish high performance thermal pad from bad ones, because they don’t have a special equipment to test and verify what the manufacturers marked. Customer requested 5.0W/mK of thermal conductivity at least, when we learned application, we recommended thermal gap pads with 5.0W/mK and 6.0W/mK. Customer satisfied with parameters, but they prefered to test by themselves. When we received product drawing, we prepared and adjust immediately. We delivered sample in three days, customer was surprised that we could deliver sample so quick. GLPOLY introduced digital cutting machine for sampling, it is 5-7 days faster than die-cut by mould. After one-month test, customer satisfied with 6.0W/mK thermal pad, the chief engineer designated GLPOLY as supplier and requested to deliver goods in one week after he got test report. GLPOLY thermal gap pad has been applied in equipment showd on National Day Parade and EV in four major auto enterprises represented by NIO. For that, we don’t need to falsify parameters. In fact, many thermal pad suppliers provide false data which does not comply with test result. When customer finished test 20 days later, he imformed me of test result by email: thermal conductivity was 8.05W/mK, siloxane volatile is less than 0.05%, comparing volatile 0.15% of compettitive products, GLPOLY XK-P80 was perfect. non-dry out, non-curing non-silicone thermal gel, maybe no one can provide except GLPOLY. In the last several years, few of thermal management engineers would intergrate “non-silicone” thermal interface materials in their application due to less referentical cases, silicone based thermal interface materials were priority. But huge variations was showed up in the high temperature test at 105C for 1000 hours. The temperature of the devices which competing products applied was out of expectation, when they took apart components, they found the non-silicone thermal gel was dry out. Only the one with GLPOLY XK-GN30 applied performed stable. As our discussion and analysis, the competing products were thermal grease, it would dry out under high temperature. In the next month when we attended a fair, we invited customer to visit out booth and leared more about XK-GN30 non-silicone thermal gel, and finally we established business relationship.
