Industrial grade petroleum jelly is a solid hydrocarbon based grease with good lubricity, chemical stability, water resistance and corrosion resistance, and has a wide range of uses, mainly including the following: Lubrication and friction reduction Lubrication of mechanical equipment: under the condition of temperature not higher than 45℃ and not much load, it can be used as the grease of light load machinery to reduce the friction and wear between mechanical parts. Lubrication of zipper and slide rule: it can effectively reduce the friction resistance of zipper and slide rule and make them slide more smoothly. Protection and anti-corrosion Metal antirust: It can be coated on the surface of metal products, metal parts and machinery to form a layer of protective film to prevent metal from rusting. For example, it is applied to corrosion-prone metal jewelry, non- stainless steel knives and gun barrels before storage. EQUIPMENT PROTECTION: Can be used in taps or equipment that require regular repair and maintenance, such as transmission lines, split tees installed for HOT TAP operation, or valves where polyurethane insulation is damaged or cannot be buried. Release and molding Mold Release Agent: Used as a release agent for plaster molds and castings, also used for die casting and mold release. Modeling Clay: Part of a hydrocarbon mixture used to make modeling clay that does not dry out like Play-Doh. Other Uses Rubber softeners and tackifiers: Can be used in the manufacture of rubber products to make rubber softer and increase its tackiness. Wood protection: can be used for finishing and protecting wood, such as mineral oil polishing. Cable Filling Paste: Used as raw material for industrial products such as cables to fill cables and prevent water from entering the cables. Emulsifying materials for explosives: can be used as emulsifying materials for the production of explosives. Anti-foaming and releasing agents: can be used as an anti-foaming agent to hinder the formation of foam in industrial process liquids, and as a releasing agent to prevent other materials from bonding to surfaces.
