This week, we’d like to introduce a Hydraulic Cartridge Counterbalance Valve equivalent to SUN standard part CBBA. Counterbalance valves with pilot assist are meant to control an overrunning load. The check valve allows free flow from the directional valve (port 2) to the load (port 1) while a direct-acting, pilot-assisted relief valve controls flow from port 1 to port 2. Pilot assist at port 3 lowers the effective setting of the relief valve at a rate determined by the pilot ratio. In the year of 2022, a new customer from Turkey sent us inquiry for SUN model CBBA cartridge counterbalance Valve, 10 pcs for trial order and 100 pcs for annual order. After we quoted the price, we were advised that the competition in Turkey market is very fierce, AAK price is too high. That was not the first time that we received this type of feedback from Turkey customers, so we did not expect to receive any order from this customer. However, in September of 2022, the customer sent us inquiry for CBBA cartridge counterbalance Valve again. Feeling the real needs of this customer, AAK gave a 8% discount and the customer placed the trial order for 10 pcs of samples for testing. After that, we did not receive any further news from this customer. We thought that the customer may not approve the quality of AAK samples. Unexpectedly, 1 year later, in December, the last month of 2023, we received the regular order for 100 pcs of CBBA hydraulic cartridge counterbalance valve. Then we know that actually, AAK samples passed the testing, due to the earthquake in Turkey and some internal changes in the company, the customer’s buying plan was affected, so they held the order.
