Application HAST-01 Hot Air Thermal Shrinkage Tester conforms to ASTM D5591 and ASTM D4974 and is used for the measurement of the thermal shrinkage force and rate of yarns and cords in air at controlled temperature. It is applicable to yarns and cords made of nylon, polyester, and other polymers, etc. Principles ASTM D4974 shrink rate test: A relaxed specimen of yarn or cord is subjected to dry heat for a specified time under a specified tension.
