Generally speaking, it is not necessary to install a bottom valve because corrosion-resistant pumps usually have their own check valves at the inlet. After the corrosion-resistant self-priming pump is shut down, the liquid in the pump chamber cannot flow back to the original pool and is stored in the pump chamber. Therefore, there is no need to add liquid during the second use. However, it does not mean that the corrosion-resistant self-priming pump cannot be equipped with a bottom valve. Installing a bottom valve will improve the effect, because if the one-way valve is sometimes damaged, the bottom valve will serve as a guarantee and will not idle after installation.
