Hydraulic Brass Breather Vent NPT Thread Often Used on Single Acting cylinders or valves, Crank Cases, Storage Tanks and Hydraulic Cylinders Brass/SS304 Filter 40-60 Filter Mircon Size: NPT1/8” to NPT1” Vent Plug Application: Allow Sealed Pressure Systems to Vent Off Excess Pressure as Heat in System Builds up, Air Pressure is Allowed Back into System as System Cools Air vent fitting for allowing air to escape when internal pressures rise. Protect against excess vacuum and pressure in cylinders, gear boxes, enclosures, manifolds, and tanks. You can also use these breather vents to block debris from entering equipment. Breather vents with splash guard are good for containers that are often filled and drained; they have a guard that prevents oil from splashing out of the vent hole. Breather vent plugs have a hex head brass body with male pipe threads, and a 40 micron filter end. It is designed to provide vacuum relief on gear boxes, oil tanks, and reservoir. It is also used to convert double action cylinders into single action cylinders, and prevent foreign matter from entering the unfed opening. This vent plug can be easily removed and cleaned.
